Them Bird Things –yhtyeen albumi Wildlike Wonder sijoittui yhdeksänneksi kriitikko Chuck Eddyn vuoden 2011 parhaiden albumien listalla The New York Village Voicessa. Village Voicen lisäksi Eddy tunnetaan Billboard-lehden toimittajana sekä Stairway To Hell kirjan kirjoittajana.
FISHBONE (USA) TO PLAY HELSINKI & TAMPERE (10.1.2012)
Los Angeles ska-jazz-funk-punk brilliance, FISHBONE (USA) will be back in Finland after a nine year wait. Fishbone will perform at Nosturi in Helsinki on the 2nd and Klubi in Tampere on the 3rd of May 2012. The shows will be part of their "Crazy Glue" EP tour.
Fisbone was formed in Los Angeles in 1979 by John Norwood Fisher with his brother Phillip "Fish" Fisher, Angelo Moore, Kendall Jones, "Dirty" Walter A. Kibby II and Christopher Dowd. On of the most important crossover bands of the 80's, like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jane's Addiction Fishbone attracted attention at an early age by musically standing out from the metal and disco pop, especially with their 1988 album "Truth and Soul" which gained raving remarks by critics, fans and musicians all over the world. Shortly after the release Fishbone toured relentlessly, including tours with Red Hot Chili Peppers. Fishbone has also toured with Janes Addiction (1997), Red Hot Chili Peppers & Stone Temple Pilots (2000) and No Doubt (2000).

PUNK LEGEND LEATHERFACE (UK) IN FEBRUARY (22.12.2011)
British punk-rock legend, LEATHERFACE will visit Finland in February as part of their 22-date European tour. The tour consists of four shows played in Tampere, Helsinki, Turku and Jyväskylä. Leatherface last visited Finland in 2004.
Formed in August 1988, Leatherface has released eight full-length albums, two live albums, two compilations and tons of singles and EP's. Leatherface's music has been described as a cross between Hüsker Dü and Motörhead. The band is often described as "The Motörhead of Punk". A notable Leatherface element is Stubbs' rasping, "gravelly" vocals. The lyrics of the band often feature far-fetched similes, metaphors, word play and obscure allusions. Leatherface was honored by 35 inspired and well known artists (including Hot Water Music & The Saint Catherines) who released a cover album of Leatherface songs.
Helsinki punk-rock outfit Cigarette Crossfire will act as support for all four shows. Atom Notes will take part in Tampere and Turku.

Currently one of Finland's most influential metal/hardcore/rock netzine KAAOSZINE and one of Finland's oldest booking agency's NEM-BOOKING have teamed up to organise a monthly club night at Tampere's top music venue Klubi. The objective is to showcase three top-class interesting and emerging artists per night.
The first evening of interesting music starts on January 18th with performances by three Tampere-based bands, namely hard-rock WHITE FLAME, punk-rock A THOUSAND BRIGHT TOMORROWS and metal-rock MEKANISM. White Flame have just got back from recording their third album in Sweden with famed producer Chris Laney, ATBT have just released their latest EP and Mekanism have been recently confirmed to play Circlefest in Helsinki.

DISCO IDIOTS are a Tampere-based DJ-collective which consists of three of some of Finland's best DJ talent on offer. Disco Idiots put on a live DJ show, which combines a cunning DJ performance with a show that few top-class live bands can come close to. The playlists consist of all the top chart songs but combined with some live input by accordions, saxophones and other instruments.
Disco Idiots' three DJ's have been around a while, consisting of names like Johnnie no-skool, Jason Seizures and recently finalist of the Finnish "Talent" format, DJ Preal.

Herra Ylppö & Ihmiset is back!
Herra Ylppö & Ihmiset siirtyi studion uumeniin elokuussa valmistelemaan seuraavaa pitkäsoittoaan. Alkuvuodesta ilmestyvän albumin nimi on Mies ja Nainen. Ensimmäinen single Mies murtuu jaetiin kaikille radioille lokakuun alussa. Single meni heti YleX:n himotuimmat lista ykköseksi sekä Voice TV:n rotaatioon.
”Kyseessä on urani ensimmäinen teemalevy. Lauluissa käsitellään erot ja kohtaamiset. Mies ja nainen seikkailevat jokaisessa kappaleessa. Jatkan realityrockilla; albumin sanoitukset kertovat omakohtaisista kokemuksista eli yksilön tunnoista laulaminen jatkuu. Herra Ylppö & Ihmiset julkaisi debyyttilevyn Sata vuotta helmikuussa 2008 ja myi saman vuoden syksynä kultaa. Tammikuussa 2010 ilmestynyt toinen albumi, Pojat ei tanssi, myi myös kultalevyyn oikeuttavan määrän.
